WASHINGTON, DC - The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) announced today that James Hardie Building Products is the newest member of the association's Manufacturers and Services Council (MSC). The council is composed of the leading building material manufacturers and service providers serving the LBM industry.

NLBMDA's MSC members are established industry leaders who supply products and services to lumber and building material dealers and regional chains across the nation. The dedicated members of the council share a commitment to promoting and enhancing the success of independent dealers and regional chains.

As a recognized world leader in fiber cement technology, James Hardie continuously innovates to remain at the forefront of the building materials industry. By leveraging technological and manufacturing strengths, the company is able to identify key growth opportunities and maximize value for customers within new construction as well as repair and remodel segments.

Innovation and product leadership are vital to maintaining their distinguished position in the fiber cement industry. Consequently, James Hardie invests heavily in research and development with an emphasis on product quality, total supply chain efficiency and installation best practices. The end results are the delivery of durable, low maintenance and design-oriented siding and trim products, and strong alignment with channel partners.

"The entire James Hardie team is looking forward to working together with the NLBMDA and individual member companies in the months and years ahead to successfully capture the significant mutual growth opportunities ahead of us," said Robb Rugg, Vice President of Strategic Accounts for James Hardie.
