NLBMDA Releases 2019 National Policy Agenda

The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA) today released its national legislative and regulatory policy agenda for 2019. The document brings focus to the common interests of the lumber and building industry and includes public policy goals for the continued success and growth of the nation's housing and building sector.

NLBMDA is working with Congress and the Trump Administration to advance common-sense proposals that will help small businesses and the many multi-generational family-owned businesses in the lumber and building material industry. The National Policy Agenda includes positions on the following: housing & construction; tax & economic policy; legal reform & consumer protection; workforce policy; environment, health, & safety; product supply & trade; energy; transportation; and fleet safety.

NLBMDA's 2019 National Policy Agenda is being distributed to members of Congress and key Administration officials, and will be used by NLBMDA members when they visit their members of Congress during the NLBMDA Spring Meeting and Legislative Conference on April 1-3 in Washington, D.C.
